The Mount, Hertfordshire
The Mount is a mediæval windmill mound near Sandon, Hertfordshire. Excavations showed the mound to be the site of a 13th-century corn mill and the mound itself is usually considered to have been created for the mill, although an earlier origin has been suggested. The monument is within the council area of North Hertfordshire (Hertfordshire).
