The Mount, Gloucestershire

The Mount is a mediæval moated site near Haresfield, Gloucestershire. A square moat encloses an island about 160ft wide. The moat width varies from 30ft-50ft wide. A building platform is visible on the island. The Mount is believed to have been the site of the manor house of the manor of Haresfield. The monument is within the council area of Stroud (Gloucestershire).
