The Monks Wall, Kent

The Monks Wall is a mediæval seawall to the north of Sandwich, Kent. The sea wall is built of sand and stone and runs between Stonar and Cliffsend. It dates from pre-1280 and belonged to the Abbot of St Augustine. It is within the council area of Dover (Kent).
