The Meadow, Armagh

The Meadow (aka Rooney's Meadow) is a suburb of Newry, lying west of the Clanrye River in County Armagh. It is within the townland of Lisdrumgullion, in the civil parish of Newry. The area was previously owned by a James Rooney and used for sports and visiting circuses. The land was developed for housing by the Northern Ireland Housing Trust from 1945. The area is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
