The Manor House, Down

The Manor House is a large 18th-century two storey gentleman’s town residence, situated on High Street in Donaghadee, County Down. It is within the townland of Town Parks of Donaghadee, in the civil parish of Donaghadee. The house was first built by Hugh Montgomery in the early 17th century. Later owner Daniel De la Cherois had this house radically remodelled and extended around 1770-80. There were also significant 19th-century alterations including a Doric columned portico and a canted bay. The mainly Georgian interior is still largely intact. The house is within the council area of Ards and North Down.
