The Grand Opera House is a late-Victorian theatre in Belfast, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Town Parks, in the civil parish of Shankill. It was designed by Frank Matcham and opened in 1895. Originally called the New Grand Opera House and Cirque, it was renamed the Palace of Varieties in 1904, changing its name to the Grand Opera House in 1909. The stage has played host to many leading performers of their day including Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, Vera Lynn, Orson Welles, Laurence Olivier and Anthony Hopkins. It is within the council area of Belfast.
