The Commandery is a mediæval building in Worcester, Worcestershire. The first building on the site was the Hospital of St Wulfstan, constructed around 1085 on the orders of Wulfstan, Bishop of Worcester as a hospital or almshouse for the terminally ill, the destitute and pilgrims. The oldest part of the current building, the hall range, dates from a 15th-century rebuilding of the hospital. Since the Reformation the building has been variously a private dwelling, Royalist headquarters, college, printing works and a museum. There were considerable additions and modifications from 16th to the 19th century, and a major reinstatement and restoration in the 1980s. The building is within the council area of Worcester (Worcestershire).
