MenuTenbury Wells, Worcestershire
Tenbury Wells is a small market town standing on the south bank of the River Teme in the north-west of Worcestershire. Opposite the town, across the river in Shropshire, is the village of Burford. The town was granted a royal charter to hold a market in 1249. "Wells" was added to the name following the discovery of mineral springs and wells in the 1840s. The Chinese-Gothic Pump Rooms were designed by James Cranston in the 1860s. The Regal is a beautifully restored 1930s art deco cinema. The town is within the council area of Malvern Hills (Worcestershire).
