Templepatrick, Antrim
Templepatrick is a village in County Antrim. It is within the townland of Templepatrick, in the civil parish of Templepatrick. One side of the main street consists of the demesne wall of Castle Upton, a 17th-century tower house. The Unitarian Meeting House (Templepatrick Old Presbyterian Church) was built in 1784. St Patrick's Church (C of I) was consecrated in 1827. Previous a hamlet, the village began to expand after the opening of Templepatrick railway station in 1848. The village has seen major housing development since the mid 20th century. The village is within the council area of Antrim and Newtownabbey.
