Taghnevan is an urban area in the west of Lurgan, County Armagh. It is within the townland of Taghnevan, in the civil parish of Shankill. Taghnevan townland remained largely rural until the mid 20th century since when it has been developed for housing and industry. The main housing estate in the centre of the townland is known by the townland name. The area is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
