Tadnoll Barrow, Dorset
Tadnoll Barrow is a prehistoric bowl barrow near Tadnoll, Dorset. It is situated on a slight knoll in an area of heath land overlooking a tributary to the River Frome. The barrow survives as a circular mound of up to 65ft in diameter and 5ft high surrounded by a buried quarry ditch from which the construction material was derived. Beyond this is a bank of up to 14ft wide and 2ft high with an outer ditch of 6ft wide and 1ft deep, believed to be a tree ring enclosure. It is within the council area of Dorset.
