Sutton Hoo, Suffolk
Sutton Hoo is the site of two Anglo-Saxon cemeteries dating from the 6th to 7th centuries, near Woodbridge, Suffolk. An undisturbed ship burial containing a wealth of Anglo-Saxon artefacts was discovered here in 1938. The site is in the care of the National Trust. Many of the objects found at the site are in the British Museum. It is within the council area of East Suffolk (Suffolk).
