Suspension Bridge, Norfolk / Cambridgeshire

Suspension Bridge is a hamlet which straddles the border of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. The settlement developed on the south bank of the New Bedfont River following the opening of a chain suspension bridge across the river here in 1826. A later bridge still spans the river here. The settlement, which spans the course of the Old Croft River, lay in two counties from its inception. It is within the council area of King's Lynn and West Norfolk (Norfolk).
