Stranmillis College, Antrim

Stranmillis College (Main Building) is an inter-war Strawberry Hill Gothic style building in the Stranmillis area of Belfast, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Malone Lower, in the civil parish of Shankill. Stranmillis University College was founded in 1922 to provide state-funded teacher education for Northern Ireland, following partition. The main building and campus were specifically designed and constructed for its educational role. The main building is noted for its unique "Strawberry Hill Gothic" architecture, creating a distinct ambience within its 46-acre woodland setting. It is within the council area of Belfast.
