Stone Cross, Staffordshire
Stone Cross is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in West Bromwich, Staffordshire. It is named from a wayside cross which dates back until at least the early 17th century; the base survived as part of a signpost until c. 1897. It remained a largely rural area until the late 1920s, when it was developed for housing. It is within the council area of Sandwell.
