Stewartstown, Tyrone

Stewartstown is a village in County Tyrone. It is within the townlands of Galvally, Boyds Farm and Parker's Farm, in the civil parish of Donaghenry. The village is named from Andrew Stewart, Lord Ochiltree, who was granted the surrounding district in the Plantation and who erected a strong bawn overlooking Lough Roughan and laid the foundation of the village. The village is within the council area of Mid Ulster.
