Stella, Durham

Stella is a village in County Durham, on the south bank of the River Tyne. The village was centred on Stella Hall, which was demolished in 1953.The Roman Catholic Church of St Mary and St Thomas Aquinas was built 1831-1832. It was designed by the architect John Green. It is within the council area of Gateshead.
