Steeton is a deserted mediæval village near Colton, Yorkshire, in the West Riding. Steeton was recorded as 'Stiuetone' in Domesday. It is thought that Steeton was depopulated by about 1485. Steeton Hall was built for the landowner, Sir Guy Fairfax, c. 1474. The site is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
