Staward Peel, Northumberland
Staward Peel (or Pele) was originally an early 14th century timber blockhouse and palisaded pele in Northumberland. It was founded by Antony de Lucy of Langley but was demolished and rebuilt as a castle which now lies in ruins. It is within the council area of Northumberland.
