Staple Hill, Gloucestershire

Staple Hill is a suburban village in Gloucestershire. Formerly a hamlet in the ancient parish of Mangotsfield, Staple Hill expanded in the 19th century, especially after the opening of Staple Hill railway station in 1888. It saw large-scale suburban development from the early 20th century. It is now contiguous with neighbouring villages Downend and Mangotsfield. It is within the council area of South Gloucestershire.
