Stanbury is a manor house near Morwenstow, Cornwall. The house was built in the 16th century for John Manning, though it has seen alterations in subsequent centuries. It was the birthplace of John Stanberry, who was an important religious figure, and became the Bishop of Hereford and made the first Provost at Eton College by King Henry VI. And also born here was Sir William Adams, a renowned oculist. It is within the council area of Cornwall.
