Stamshaw, Hampshire

Stamshaw is a former village that is now an urban area in Portsmouth, Hampshire. It lies on the western shore of Portsea Island, to the north of Landport. The area was incorporated into the municipal area of Portsmouth in 1860 and subsequently developed as terraced housing for dock workers and their families. It is within the council area of Portsmouth.
