St Peter's Abbey (aka Abbotsbury Abbey) was a Benedictine monastery in Abbotsbury, Dorset. The abbey was founded in the 11th century. At the Dissolution, Henry VIII granted the abbey site to Sir Giles Strangways, who had abbey largely demolished to maximize profit from the sale. Nonetheless, several buildings survive, notably the 14-century Tithe barn, reputedly the largest thatched tithe barn in the world. The site is within the council area of Dorset.
