St Columba's Church, Long Tower, Londonderry
St Columba's Church, Long Tower is a late 18th-century Roman Catholic church, located outside the city walls in Londonderry, County Londonderry. It is within the townland of Londonderry, in the civil parish of Templemore. It lies close to the site of the 12th-century cathedral of Teampall Mor, ruined by the 16th century. The church, which opened in 1787, was the first Roman Catholic house of worship constructed in the city following the relaxing of the Penal Laws in the late-18th century. The present church owes much to the remodelling of 1909 to designs by E.J. Toye. It is within the council area of Derry City and Strabane.
