Spettisbury Rings, Dorset

Spettisbury Rings (aka Crawford Castle) is a prehistoric univallate hillfort at Spettisbury, Dorset. Situated on a low hill on the western bank of the River Stour, the hillfort survives as a roughly oval enclosed internal area of approximately 5 acres defined by a single rampart bank with largely-buried outer ditch. It is within the council area of Dorset.
