Spencestown, Antrim
Spencestown is a former hamlet, lying on the south bank of the Braid River near Ballymena, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Ballee, in the civil parish of Connor. The hamlet lay close to a wooden bridge across the river. The area adjacent to the hamlet became the site of water treatment works from the early 20th century. The housing of the hamlet was demolished in the late 20th century, though the name continued in use for the water treatment works. The former settlement is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
