Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire
Sowerby Bridge is a market town in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. It lies in the Upper Calder Valley. The town was originally a fording point over the River Calder where it joins the River Ryburn. The town takes its name from the historic bridge which spans the river in the town centre. It is within the council area of Calderdale.
