Southwold, Suffolk

Southwold is a seaside resort town in Suffolk. It lies at the mouth of the River Blyth within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Southwold lighthouse, commissioned in 1890, stands as a prominent landmark in the centre of the town. Adnams brewery was established by George and Ernest Adnams in 1872. Southwold Pier was built in 1900. The town is within the council area of East Suffolk (Suffolk).
