Southsitch House, Derbyshire
Southsitch House is a 17th century building near Idridgehay, Derbyshire. The house was built by George and Millicent Mellor in 1621, with later additions made from 1842. The main range is a close-studded timber-framed structure rising from a stone plinth. The house features a gabled thatched and tiled roof, a gabled open porch with a four-centred arched head, and a mix of 20th century casement windows with leaded lights and original mullioned windows. The interior features exposed timber framing, substantial ceiling spine beams, and a newel staircase. It is within the council area of Amber Valley (Derbyshire).
