Southbourne, Hampshire

Southbourne is a seaside resort and eastern suburb of Bournemouth, Hampshire. The area, previously known as Stourfield, was developed by the Southbourne-on-Sea Freehold Land Company from 1882. The area was incorporated into the municipal boundaries of Bournemouth in 1901 and has since come to be seen as a suburb of Bournemouth. Southbourne's primary attraction is its sandy beach, a quiet retreat from the more crowded beach at Bournemouth.
