Southam is a market town in Warwickshire, on the River Stowe in the Felden area of the county. Water from a natural spring feeds a holy well near the river bank. In the Middle Ages, Southam minted its own local currency. King Charles I used Southam's mint to make new coins to pay his troops. The building is early 16th century and is now a public house. The town is within the council area of Stratford-on-Avon (Warwickshire).
