South Woodford, Essex
South Woodford is an urban area, forming the southern part of the town of Woodford, Essex. The area developed to the south-east of the hamlet of Woodford around St Mary's Church, following the opening of George Lane railway station in 1856 (now South Woodford tube station). George Lane is a retail and business centre. The area is within the council area of Redbridge.
