Somersal Herbert Hall is a timber-framed, 16th-century country house in Somersal Herbert, Derbyshire. It is one of the best examples of a half-timbered house in Derbyshire. The FitzHerbert family acquired the estate in the 13th century and held it until the 20th century. The present timber-framed house was primarily built by John FitzHerbert in 1564 on the site of an earlier manor house. The house has undergone additions, including a brick wing in 1712, and then around 1850, Sir Henry FitzHerbert enlarged the house by the addition of a north wing. Further restoration was made in 1899 and later became the ancestral home of the Clarke family after the Fitzherberts. It is within the council area of Derbyshire Dales (Derbyshire).
