Soldier's Ring, Wiltshire

Soldier's Ring is a large, polygonal or kite-shaped earthwork enclosure, probably of Romano-British date, situated across the shallow bottom of Blackheath Down, Wiltshire. The regular earthworks completely enclose an area of about 25 acres. The earthworks survive around most of the perimeter as a pair of banks, 35ft-45ft across, separated by a ditch and berm. It is within the council area of New Forest (Hampshire).
