Snowdonia National Park, Merionethshire / Caernarfonshire / Denbighshire
The Snowdonia National Park, created in 1951, covers an area far beyond Snowdonia itself, stretching deep into the mountains of Merionethshire and Caernarfonshire and also extends into adjacent areas of Denbighshire. It is known as 'Eryri' in Welsh. It is within the council areas of Gwynedd and Conwy.
