Snowdonia National Park, Merionethshire / Caernarfonshire
Created in 1951, the Snowdonia National Park was the third National Park to be established in Britain. It covers an area far beyond Snowdonia itself, deep into the mountains of Merionethshire and also extends into adjacent areas of Denbighshire. It is known as 'Eryri' in Welsh.
