Snibston, Leicestershire

Snibston is a small village in the north-west of Leicestershire. St Mary's Church (C of E) dates from the 13th century. The village is believed to have shrunk and now consists primarily of Grange Farm and the former Snibston County Junior School and several houses along St Mary's Lane. A larger pit settlement, also called Snibston, developed to the north of the village in the 19th century. The village is within the council area of North West Leicestershire (Leicestershire).
