Skinnard, Lincolnshire

Skinnard is a deserted mediæval village near Navenby, Lincolnshire, in the Parts of Kesteven. Skinnard was recorded as the smallest village in the Deanery of Longoboby in 1332. The church was reputedly dedicated to St Matthew and fell into ruins around the times of the Civil War. Though the village maintained a small population into the early 20th century, though only a single farmhouse (now used as a commercial property) now remains alongside the earthworks of the deserted village. The site is within the council area of North Kesteven (Lincolnshire). Abandoned Village.
