Silverwood, Armagh
Silverwood is a village in County Armagh. It is within the townland of Silverwood, in the civil parish of Seagoe. Prior to the late 20th century, Silverwood village comprised a small number of dwellings and a school to the north of Silverwood House in Silverwood townland. Silverwood House was demolished in the 1990s, its estate lands becoming part of Silverwood Business Park. Much of the original village housing was demolished and a new estate built. The former Silverwood National School (closed in 1973) survived, later being used as a scout hall. The village is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
