Shipley Common, Derbyshire

Shipley Common is a suburban village in Derbyshire. It remained a small hamlet until the mid 20th century, since when it has seen substantial suburban development, mainly on the former site of opencast mining. It lies to the west of Cotmanhay, with which it is now contiguous. It is within the council area of Erewash (Derbyshire).
