Sheffield Cathedral, Yorkshire

Sheffield Cathedral (formally the Cathedral Church of St Peter and St Paul) is a Church of England cathedral on Church Street in Sheffield, Yorkshire, in the West Riding. It is the seat of the Bishop of Sheffield. It was elevated to cathedral status in 1914. The building is a mix of mediæval and modern architecture, with the earliest section dating from around 1200 and the newest from 1966. The cathedral is within the council area of Sheffield.
