Selkirk, Selkirkshire
Selkirk is the county town of Selkirkshire. It stands on the Ettrick Water and is one of the oldest Royal Burghs in Scotland. Selkirk's population grew up because of its woollen industry. The town is known for bannocks, a dry fruit cake. Selkirk is within the council area of The Scottish Borders.
