Scwrfa, Brecknockshire
Scwrfa is a former mining village situated at the head of the Sirhowy Valley in Brecknockshire. The village developed during the 19th century and was populated by workers in the local iron ore extraction process, supplying the nearby Sirhowy Iron Works. Scwrfa is now sometimes considered to be a suburban area in the northern part of the town of Tredegar. It is within the council area of Blaenau Gwent.
