Scrubbity Barrows, Dorset

Scrubbity Barrows is a prehistoric round barrow cemetery situated in Scrubbity Coppice on Cranborne Chase, near Deanend, Dorset. The cemetery inlcudes eight barrows, each having a mound composed of earth, chalk and flint, with varying dimensions of between 15ft to 65ft in diameter and between 2ft and 5ft in height. The mounds are each surrounded by a ditch from which material was quarried during the construction of the monument. The monument is within the council area of Dorset.
