MenuScots Hole, Herefordshire
Scots Hole is an oval-shaped earthwork in the south-east of Hereford, Herefordshire. Its name apparently derives from the view that it may have been part of the siege works constructed by the Scots army when they were besieging Hereford for the parliamentarians during the Civil War. It could, however, have an earlier date. It is within the council area of County of Herefordshire.
