Scarvagh House, Down

Scarvagh House is an early 18th-century country house, located in an extensive private demesne to the south of the village of Scarva, County Down. It is within the townland of Scarva, in the civil parish of Aghaderg. The present house is thought to have been built around 1717 by Myles Reilly. The house is arranged around a large forecourt and enlivened by late Baroque elements such as Dutch gables and open scroll pediments, flanked by plainer east and west wings to either side. The main elements of historic fabric remain intact. The house is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
