MenuScamridge Dikes, Yorkshire
Scamridge Dikes is a pair of adjoining prehistoric linear boundaries, situated on the southern slopes of the Tabular Hills near Ebberston, Yorkshire, in the North Riding. The dikes run roughly north-east to south-west, between the top of the steep slope into Troutsdale and the edge of Kirk Dale. The two sections are joined in the centre of the boundary at the bottom of Scamridge Slack. They are thought to have originated in the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, earlier than most other prehistoric boundary systems on the Tabular Hills. The monument is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
