Sandbach, Cheshire

Sandbach is a market town in Cheshire. It is recorded as Sanbec in Domesday. It was granted a chart by Elizabeth I in 1579. The Sandbach Crosses are two 9th-century stone Anglo-Saxon crosses erected in the market place. The town has many historic buildings including Sandbach School, St Mary's Church and the Old Hall Hotel. The town is within the council area of Cheshire East.
