Sampson's Bratfull, Cumberland
Sampson's Bratfull is a burial chamber in Cumberland. It is also the largest burial cairn of Stockdale Moor and situated about five miles east of Egremont. The legends surrounding this site suggest that the stones were carried by the devil in this 'brat' or as otherwise known as his apron. The site probably dates to the Neolithic period.It is within the council area of Cumberland.
