Saltaire, Yorkshire
Saltaire is a Victorian model village in Shipley, Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The model village was built from 1851 by Titus Salt for workers as his textile mill alongside the Liverpool and Leeds Canal. The name is derived from a combination of 'Salt' and the nearby River Aire. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is within the council area of Bradford.
